Nadine Yura - Calligraphy of Color

On an unseasonably warm late November morning I took the reference photo for this painting on a stretch of beach my husband and I used to walk on together. I definitely felt the solitude, our familiar spot, alone....No sun worshipers or beach combers just these two fisherman waiting for a catch. The surf was unusually quiet, the breaking surf barely audible.  I tried to capture the atmosphere, which was amazing! Such beautifully muted blues, greens and beige of the sky, sand and misty surf.  Please enjoy "Mid November Mild"  6"x " Oil on Panel.
