Nadine Yura - Calligraphy of Color

I bought this elegantly shaped little votive candle bowl on the clearance shelf at the store recently which sparked a big idea for a small painting.  Cramming it with my favorite muses, the mini peppers and the grapes, I was pleased with this perfect still life to paint.

By keeping the brushstrokes loose and the background somewhat unfinished I ended up with a "sketchy" painting that I feel works.  I hope you agree. Please enjoy "Sketchy Smalls" 6"x6" Oil on Panel.
