Meant to be
I've been on a Fuji apple kick lately. I buy them almost every week and almost every week I forget to eat them for some reason. Since I am a firm believer in things "meant to be" these leftover Fuji's were meant NOT to be eaten and meant TO be painted!
All the things that test or challenge an artist I feel, are in this painting - Values, Shadows, Edges, etc. Each apple had its own identity and I tried to capture that. I definitely learned a lot and am so pleased with the result.
